Good to see such fascinating (and unintentionally humorous) periodicals getting some well-deserved recognition. http://blog.modernmechanix.com/, which publishes excerpts from the original magazine, is well worth visiting.
In Spain, a comic book called TBO had something that matched this “Los inventos del profesor Frank de Copenhage”.
Very funny.
The first one looks like what would happen if Dyson built cars, instead of Vacuum Cleaners. My father has a stack of old Popular Mechanics books. I hope he never throws them out, I would have nothing to read during my visits.
I’m always disappointed none of this came to be. While cell phones and internets are cool, well, this is A BAZILLION TIMES cooler. This stuff WOULD poke your eye out.
