This extraordinary group of images of the former Edward VIII, the Duke of Windsor gardening were taken by Frank Scherschel in 1955-1956 and published in Life magazine that year. The Duke was 62 years old, and had been living in France near Paris with his wife Wallis, since the end of World War II.
