Michael Jackson / Egyptian Statue

“An ancient Egyptian bust on display at the Field Museum in Chicago has been the focus of interest since the star’s death as visitors double-take at the eerie similarities between the 3,000-year-old statue and the singer.

The limestone statue – which depicts an unidentified woman – went on display at the museum in 1988 and was carved during the New Kingdom Period, dating from between 1550 BC to 1050 BC.

Museum curator Jim Phillips said staff had been “inundated” with inquiries from Jackson fans since the star’s similarities to the bust were pointed out in a recent newspaper article.”

Would be good if the two images could stay a bit longer before the morph effect kicked in.

Those ancient Egyptians were amazing. They even got the nose right.

The nose is broken off, no?

Put a warning on that! And agree with John…slower morph would be awesome.

So, the theory then would be that Jackson saw the statue at some point and re-created his face to be a look-alike?? It wouldn’t look like his original mug.

Eerie – I’m sure Michael Jackson would be chuffed about that.

I have to agree with Jobi, what does this statue and Michael Jackson have in come? Both are the products of artisans who were most likely paid a fortune for their work, and both works will most likely decay at a similar rate

I have a friend who is, … uh, … well, clarvoyant. He said every life MJ has ever lived, he was always worshipped like a spectacle. His earliest life was as an Egyptian pharoah, where people worshipped him non-stop. He was a GOOD pharoah, as well, with a good heart. When he decided to come back to THIS life, he knew that he would be worshipped again, but he said that THIS time, he would give people something to really SEE. He may have recognized who he was in this life, because of the ‘Remember the Time’ video, and subconsciously ‘remembers the time’ when he was a pharoah, as all the plastic surgeries he’s had have somehow come to bare a striking resemblance to the facial features he had when he was in Egypt thousands of years ago. Whether you chose to believe any of this or not, is up to you, but you have to admit, it’s quite entertaining.

  • I found this in my local museum, an eerie portent of his future collaboration with Paul McCartney!
