I LOVE pics like this. I can remember being mesmerized by the meat packing machines. Wish I had a time machine to wander around those aisles. Great post, ty!
I remember the aroma of A&P coffee being ground in the store.
Fifth photo, bottom right shelf, army-green containers: that was how Listerine gargle/mouthwash was packaged back in the day. The bottle itself was glass and, I assume, subject to breakage in shipping and handling.
I had totally forgotten about those Listerine logs!!! Funny.
