‘I came across this set of photos – not a restored bike, but a ’brand new’ 1949 Claud Butler built from a cache of original, unused parts found by Jim Cunningham, ‘Founder, President and Chief Flunky Officer of CyclArt.‘ It’s a beauty, isn’t it?’

Why not a full reveal? Do I have to imagine it in my head?
Exactly!
You’re missing at least one photo. Maybe it’s a pretty bike.
i used to have a Claude Butler 40 odd years ago beautifully balanced light weight machine -then some b— stole it ..
It’s a shame the main tubes were all sawed in half. Otherwise he could have built a complete bike instead of just a cockpit, bottom bracket assembly and rear dropout.
I am restoring my “vintage” 1977 Trek, and these pictures are an example of the reason I am having CyclArt repaint and redecal it — using the appropriate NOS Trek decals.
