    Neat! I learned from this that “Port Nelson”, the terminus on the western shore of Hudson Bay there, is now a ghost town. It was set up to be a shipping terminal for grain from the Canadian prairies, but the railroad never made it there. It operated briefly as a shipping terminal, I guess for furs. According to Wikipedia (search for “Port Nelson, Manitoba”), there’s even a shipwreck there.
