‘These photos depict Buddy, the Deaf Dog, and his owner Bob Parker who operated as an act in and around Olathe, Kansas. They probably date to the late 1950s. All these photos were taken at Kansas School for the Deaf. Buddy was supposed to be an amusing but inspirational example of how one could excel in spite of one’s deafness.’

Why do people think that they have to dress dogs up like people?
Because dogs look cute in hats.
I wonder what mix Buddy was. I have a dog that looks exactly like this, just black.
I would say pit bull or staffy mix, possibly with shepherd because of the ears and shape of the snout.
