“This controversial image of Raquel Welch was shot by Terry O’Neill for the cover of Esquire magazine to publicise the actress’s role in One Million BC. In fact, it was not published for another 30 years, when it appeared in the Sunday Times Magazine.”

Mmmmm…, Sacrilicious!
This is very wrong by todays standards. I can imagine the scandal is causes back then.
Nothing sacreligions here, remember that cruxifixion was a common for of execution back in the day.
My only problem is that it was invented only around 600BCE and not in the purported 10,000BCE
I have to agree with Robert, People only see what they want to see, I see a sexy screen siren posing “tied” to a couple of bit of wood. Yes the sexual nature of the image may have caused a controversy back at the time of shooting, but really today it is pretty harmless.
