LOVE the “swimming pool”!
very interesting photos! however I suspect some were actually taken in Canada… take for instance the one of the Hudson’s Bay Co. store or the Deer Hunt one (second last) check the bottom left corner

They were settlers, not colonists.
Hudson’s Bay Co had offices in Oregon and Washington before they were US states – many of the emigrants who traveled the Oregon trail(s) in the 1840s were settling property not yet claimed by the U.S. Hudson’s Bay was a British company known for helping destitute and stranded emigrants. Therefore, the photo of the Hudson’s Bay Co office could well be in territory that is now in the U.S…
