What charming photos. Photos like this both sadden and fascinate me. Sadden, because you know that the subject who is young in the photo has lived her whole life and is now (almost certainly) deceased. Fascinate, because with a single subject, you yearn to know what her story is – who is she, where is she, who did she become, what of her family? Anyone who loves Stephen Poliakov’s film “Shooting the Past” as I do will know what I mean.
Is it just me, or does she resemble Abigail Breslin from ‘Little Miss Sunshine’?

Such a pretty young girl and her dog. Great looking tricycle also. Lovely, lovely pictures.
Does anyone have information about the statue that she is posing in front of?
