I read #19 as “Bent Henry the Wrong Way”. Ouch! I can see how that could happen, though.
Music for Hangovers! I see what you did there.
I’d like to sincerely thank you for not including “Two Virgins”.
…Although for another album cover in much the same vein as that, try doing a Google Image search of “The Sensuous Black Woman Meets The Sensuous Black Man” (you may have to adjust your safe search filter settings to get any hits).
I like them all, especially the second one! Very much! That first one at the top is meant to be quite the collectors item nowadays…
In 1987 Iwas record shopping with my girlfriend and I bought an Albert King record called “The Pinch,” the cover of which featured a picture of a woman’s nice hotpants-clad ass. A couple of years later, after the girl broke up with me, she denounced me to her friends for buying a record with such a sexist cover, even though she had pretended not to notice the sexism (or sexiness) on the day of purchase. I’m glad the record outlasted the girlfriend.

Sad to say, it’s not out on CD. :^(

No loss there! :^)
So ‘Mad Men’ really was accurate when it split women in ads into ‘Jackies’ and ‘Marilyns.’
Excellent post and excellent replies. A lot of these covers are featured in the book “Vixens of Vinyl”.

When I was a kid one of the records my parents brought home was Stravinsky’s La Sacre du Printemps. I must ave played that record a hundred times or more. But it was a different cover with only a nude woman on it.
My sister Adrienne accused me of playing that recording just so I had an excuse to drool over the cover image of a naked lady.
Well, duhh…I was a horny teenage boy.
Some of my favorite memories are of my father’s Playboy mags and his collection of Sex to Sexty joke books and a deck of cards featuring nude photos of Marilyn Monroe.
herb alpert and the tijuana brass… “Whipped Cream”…whew !
And these were before Electric Ladyland, and Blind Faith…go figure.
What about the cover to “Whipped Cream” by Herb Alpert?
