These are glorious architectural confections. They do need some data and naming; “the Hall of Weddings” in Tblisi is a fabulous Orwellian name and readers would benefit from knowing this. I’m thinking of getting the book. Thanks.

The Ohio Historical Center in Columbus is a building done in this style as well, and the Medical Center at Stony Brook University in NY. But of the American ones, and not so much the Soviet ones, they just make me wonder who on Earth thought these were a good idea? Concrete drops from the SUNY building and the Ohio center has way more waste space than usable space. And besides that they’re ugly, at least to my aesthetic taste. Most of the Soviet buildings have a certain elegance, which is completely lacking in the American counterparts.
