Those are awesome. It’s cool that the boats floated… I still have the small “pizzaria” set from the “city” set.
I remeber that! I remember this particular catalogue with Maria’s ambulance! I was 5 then, and would not typically praise my memory. Isn’t that scary?
In Italy, at that time lego was a little bit expensive.
For that reason my parents bought me a cheap copy, made in Italy of course, branded “Plastic City”, something similar but different……
I was 5 in 1973 and seeing this now I can remember having a number of these sets….thanks for the nemoriesv
I had this catalogue! Lego was so much better when some thought had to go into how you replicated an object from reality. In modern Lego, they just mould something to a particular form and then have a couple of bits to stick on to it. Not clever…
I’m a bit surprised to see that pre-printed grille in the first pic that early, as a kid it reminded me of the last-of-the-line 1980 International Scout:

Oh I had that kitchen set, I loved it. But I so hankered after the windmill…or a boat. Thanks for the nostalgic memory!
I remember the ambulance ad too! I loved playing with Lego and I love how this ad captures the logic of a child building something.
I had the little piano – good memories, thanks
