The individual in several photos in the military uniform with the mustache and cigar is Ernie Kovaks…worth looking at his early TV shows and his amazing characters.

You failed to mention the one actor who may have stole the film…Ernie Kovacs.
Fascinating photos. The film was shot in the 1-year period after the revolution when Castro had not yet aligned whit the Soviets and still had relations with the US. People forget that he didn’t align with Moscow immediately.
