Thank you to the Guardian
Patty Duke was in the original Valley of the Dolls (1967), not the Russ Meyer sexploitation remake in 1970.
what Mike said.
except that it wasn’t a remake or a sequel. It was a film in it’s own right with an original script by Roger Ebert. The “Valley of the Dolls” reference was an attempt by the studio to cash in on the popularity of the original. It is also a cautionary tale about drug abuse and violence.
These are fantastic! My favorite is the Cabaret poster, so mysterious and sexy!
