I love old cameras, thank you for these nice time capsule.
All of these ads appeal to the very same things that people take pictures today. not much has changed in the ~100 years since then.
I have one of these, the large foldout 3A model. I picked it up at an antique store for $5 which going by the ads above is about what it sold for originally. They’re pretty cheap because there are still a lot of them around. I use it as a decorative knick-knack and I love it.

I have two of these 3A Autographics (circa 1926) modified to use 120 film for 6x14cm panoramic shots. They work great (take a look at some results: http://goo.gl/KfjB). And they are a whole lot more fun than a boring digicam…
