And that says a lot, considering we’re the same species that invented the pantaloon. Reply Mark February 18, 2012 I was a child in the 70s, so this sort of thing is always awesome to me. My first impression of the world was basically this, although I don’t remember my father ever wearing a jump suit. A beard, yes. Shirt unbuttoned to the navel showing off his manly chest hair, you bet. No jump suit though. Reply salsaman February 10, 2012 I’ve picked up a few from thrift shops, great for Burning Man! Reply kerry February 10, 2012 I had two jumpsuits in the 70′s one blue and one in beige,They looked alot like the first picture.Miss my disco days Reply Diana February 11, 2012 Wow. That copy. It is even more astounding than the jumpsuit, and that’s saying a lot. Reply Eartha Kitsch February 11, 2012 My god, the text in those ads. As if the jumpsuits don’t force me to think about their man parts enough. Uggh. Reply Skipweasel February 11, 2012 The McCalls pattern – size 40. Now, I’m a big bloke – rather bigger than that, but for heaven’s sake if jump-suits have to be worn, only stick-insects should attempt to carry it off. Reply floss February 18, 2012 ubiquitous these days. Reply Brian O'Connell July 12, 2012 It’s a speedsuit! A SPEEDSUIT! Reply Esther Gibbs November 19, 2012 I had a blue one very similar to the white Fifth Season one – don’t remember too many men wearing them though – thank goodness! Reply Mara December 19, 2012 These need to come back in style. Reply Bill February 23, 2014 Before you laugh too much, just remember we live in the age of the adult-sized onesie.
